Top Saudi cleric says women who drive risk damaging their ovaries
Sun Sep 29, 2013
Wow! If driving can "push the pelvis upward" and damage ovaries, IMAGINE what it can do to testicles! I think the women need to be driving the men around. Wouldn't want any damaged sperm getting in the gene pool.
'I still believe in resurrection': Jesse Jackson Jr. gets 2 1/2 years in prison
Wed Aug 14, 2013
Why oh why is he getting preferential treatment? Gets to research and recommend prisons to serve in based on their quality? Give me a break. He's a thief. A burglar. Who is STILL not taking full responsibility.
Rouhani becomes president of Iran, with Khamenei's approval: state TV
Sat Aug 3, 2013
I'm no fan of Iran or the Jihadists who live in the Middle East and Northern Africa, but the only way to put a halter on the extremism is to help everyone become rich. We are doing the opposite by imposing sanctions. Sanctions breed poverty and that breeds extremism and religious violence.
Trayvon Martin's father: Screaming on 911 call is my son
Mon Jul 8, 2013
As much as people feel passionate about picking a side, we have to remain focused on uncovering the facts. We know by the audio tape that there was a struggle lasting for at least 10-15 seconds, probably longer because it was going on when the lady called 911.
Dying girl, 10, spurs fight over lung transplant fairness
Tue May 28, 2013
I'm sorry but I don't understand why one of the parents or family members cannot donate a lung to this little girl. People can survive on one lung; a family member had lung cancer and one lung was removed; he is on oxygen now. It is not ideal or easy, but entirely possible to live on one lung.
Yahoo's new baby leave policy is generous. Yours? Probably not so much
Tue Apr 30, 2013
Since moms can no longer afford to take off work to have a baby, I guess we could shut down the baby making factory completely so the singles can be content.
The third JC Penney makeover: Ousting CEO Ron Johnson
Mon Apr 8, 2013
I completely agree and I was threading through this looking for someone with the same thoughts. My husband and I both used to have about 2,000 of discretionary income each month after bills. Now we're lucky to have half that. That counts for food and gas money. It is al …
Congress hears options for asteroid defense: Pay now or pray later
Tue Mar 19, 2013
Asteroids are a global problem--and therefore require global funding. The U.S. cannot shoulder the burden alone.
A $1 billion bet on peace: Qatar funds huge Palestinian settlement in West Bank
Sun Mar 3, 2013
A Palestinian settlement? Next to an Israeli settlement? Quit segregating yourselves; segregation doesn't work and never will. As long as you keep taking the "this is yours; that is ours" mentality you will never achieve peace. Grow up and get along. Mix and become neighbors.
NASA 'Mohawk Guy' to march in inaugural parade
Fri Jan 18, 2013
No I'm pretty sure he likes the attention. Otherwise why would he keep a wacky haircut? He also said once "Hey if my haircut inspires kids to get interested in Science, then I'm all for it."
